In this article, we provide important recommendations and solutions to frequent issues in order to successfully complete your KYC verification.
Notice: Users who are underage or who reside in countries where TruBit does not offer services, will be rejected.
Residents from Argentina, Brazil or Mexico, make sure to read the special comments below the general recommendations.
Related to your identity document:
Ensure you take good quality photos:
Take a photo of your ID document with plenty of light, centered, and well-focused.
Use your original, physical document. Color copies or pictures from cellphone screens are not allowed.
Avoid reflections and shades that prevent the printed data from being read.
Place your document on a flat, plain background.
All edges of the document must be visible, not covered by fingers, or other objects.
Your ID card must be valid and in good condition:
Your ID cannot be expired and in it has to be in good physical condition.
If you are a European, African or Asian resident, use your passport whenever possible, as it has better acceptance rates than ID cards.
Use an official ID issued by your country’s government, such as an official ID card, driver's license or passport. Identity cards issued by universities, private companies or clubs are not accepted.
Related to the Video-Selfie:
Make the two required circular face turns from left to right in front of the camera.
Do not record a 'video of a video'. Pre-recorded selfies from a cellphone screen or PC screen will be rejected.
Take the selfie with plenty of light. Avoid backlighting, as it can cause your face to appear too dark.
Do not wear glasses or clothing that hides your face.
Note for Mexican residents:
Use your INE card whenever possible, as it has better acceptance rates than Mexican passports.
For Mexican citizens, as well as temporary and permanent residents, your CURP must be visible on the identification used to verify your account. If you do not have your CURP, you can obtain it at this link: Obtaining the CURP
Note for Argentine residents:
You must use the most recently issued copy of your DNI to verify yourself. You can find out which is your most recent copy on the following Renaper pages:
Note for Brazilian residents:
For residents of Brazil, you can use a driver's license as a valid ID. It is not necessary for the driver's license to be valid. Keep in mind that, if you used an expired driver's license, our team would review your profile manually and, if everything else is in order, we will go ahead and approve your account. This takes between 24 to 48 hours.
